Welcome to Walter E. Harris Public School

École Walter E. Harris is a French Immersion School that provides programming for students from grades one through eight. Students begin the French Immersion program in grade one, and are taught in French 100% of the time throughout the primary years. From grades four to eight, half the curriculum is taught in French while the other half is taught in English.

The Walter E. Harris staff is committed to delivering strong academic programs focused on literacy and numeracy and to providing opportunities for students to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to become successful, lifelong learners. We work collaboratively with the community to achieve our mission statement, “A unique and caring experience” / “Me tient a coeur”. Students and staff enjoy the benefits of an active, supportive School Community Council. The academic focus of our school is enhanced by many extra-curricular programs provided by staff in band, various clubs and numerous sports.
